You sound as if you are comfortable not hearing anything but the echo of your own narrow certitudes. How many emails have you addressed to the Board or administration protesting the vile treatment of the bookstore people? Not one is my guess. And have you protested the kicking out of the Head Start kids? I vote not likely.
And you are sunk into solipsistic resentment of a person's doing so because protest inconveniences little you. You could live on the Gulag Archipelago for all the understanding and respect you have for the First Amendment. If a college does not foster free speech, where should we find it?
You have my condolences and my advice to learn the abstruse technology of the delete button instead of indulging in Garbo posturing about wanting to be alone.
I bet that had the word been in circulation then that the collaborators of British tyranny would have called Paine's call to arms posted on barn sides "spam" and sniffed about his annoying them. In every period of the world, such dingdongs have surfaced.
It will be a cold day in rhetorical hell when I can't bat back such puerile ratiocinations (OED: "cinations made by rats") as come from the quidnuncs of the ilk of The Right Honorable Scott Mead.
I am off to the Perverse-thinkers-anti-democracy-shut-up-and-listen-to-the-Gestapo Pound to find me that dog you recommend.

An argument is constructed on facts Define "facts." , not a series of insults. You are wasting my time comma;compound sentence and you do so for no purpose. You are not going to convince me that I should want spam by sending more spam or by insulting me. You do not write well. We await word of your Pulitzer. I can write rings around you in my sleep. You do not present new or pertinent information. You are merely hurling insults, which is are a poor substitute for a real argument. Your argument is circular genus: I am right, so I am right. If a writer has to resort to insults and name calling, then it usually means that the writer lacks any real foundation for his or her argument. Let me get this straight. You can insult me, but I can't insult you? Who says, Sugarbritiches? No wonder you think it's ok to fire faithful employees for a "business plan." You do not think straight. I do not intend to waste my time reading something that is not written to inform or convince. I am not complaining against what you support, I think you are. I infer that you don't have the guts to say you think it's ok for the administration to dump employees who have worked for the college many years and who will lose their pensions and health care. That is what you are endorsing behind this rote blather. You are not my representative. God forbid. I don't represent numbskulls. You do not represent me in negotiations. Negotiations with whom? When did you negotiate on behalf of your bookstore colleagues with the administration to get it to stop it plan to dump them? Nobody should go over the hill with the flaccid negotiations you would conduct. You were not elected, nor are you a constituent of this district or county. I am an American citizen. That is all the First Amendment requires. Only the otiose think a citizen has no rights to speak out of her or his county or to send emails to Timbuktu for that matter. To think otherwise is technology and First Amendment hillbillyism.

How exalted you must be, sugarbritches. Have you won your Nobel laureate yet for huffing and puffing? Is this riposte to an honorable citizen who pays taxes for your salary your first step in a career path as a GK functionary? Be sure to send it round to the GK C- students. They will think that "get-a-dog" musty cliché is rhetorically artful. No faculty member could pen such a chestnut with a straight face. So you must be some kind of back-up personnel cog. You have my condolences.
You might think that protesting the bookstore people's getting's kicked out of their jobs after years of faithful service is "spam." But protesting the book-store people's planned downloading into the minimum-wage ghetto with no medical benefits after losing their pensions and medical care as a sacrifice to Dr. Stephenson's "business plan" is not for them "spam." They don't consider protesting this vile treatment of veteran employees' dumping to be "petty insults and personal attacks" either. Losing their jobs in an offshoring to Barnes & Noble is a major issue to these unfortunates, not spam.
And what about the Head Start children whom Dr. Stephenson and her myrmidons plan to kick out along with the bookstore people? Is protesting the tots' eviction "spam" too? Good God. I refer you to the death of Little Nell to line up your compassion synapses to judge this GK outrage against poor children.
Who knows? If GK kicks out the bookstore people and the Head Start children with nobody's protesting this unethical sally, the success may embolden its Brown Shirts to go further. Your subgroup may be next target of Dr. Stephenson's "business plan." GK has always thought full-time tenured faculty was a monetary luxury that part-timers could reduce. So faculty can expect to wake up one morning with their ranks shrinking. GK's dream faculty is part-time cheap.
Stay on the alert. You may rethink this issue of "spam" when your job and your email account is on their way out the door.
And what deep stuff could a braniac such as you be thinking about if not injustice to bookstore veteran employees and Head Start tots? Don't tell us. You spend your days and nights pondering Plato's Theory of Ideal forms, Elliot's objective correlative, Einstein's Romper Room formulae, and the lucubrations of Mickey Mouse. You are one big-time thinker, cowboy. HCC is too narrow a field for your intellect; Oxford calls.
I have decided not to get a dog as a pet as you advise. I have decided to go to the Double-agent Stray Pound and adopt a specimen of the that despised breed. Your email of blasé betrayal of colleagues in pain has made me curious to observe the species up close.

I do not want to read spam. Take me off your mailing list. I have better things to do than to read poorly written, rambling collections of petty insults and personal attacks. If you are this desperate for attention, get a dog.
